About Jason Andrew Griffith:
After re-emerging in late 2022 following a years-long break from music, Alberta-based artist Jason Andrew Griffith has been hard at work in the Calgary scene, writing and performing his own style of prairie-infused roots music that evokes the likes of Tom Petty, Ryan Adams, and Corb Lund.
In 2023 he enlisted the help of several talented Calgary artists (Mark Troyer, Mitch Jay, Matty McKay to name a few) to record and release three well-received singles (“Four O’clock Show”, “Soil and Ashes”, and “The Gift”) which have been played on campus and community radio stations across Canada. According to Jason, “There is a common thread of ‘looking back’ that runs through these songs, which I think listeners have connected with in really meaningful ways.”
Playing shows in venues ranging from The King Eddy to Gravity Cafe to the Ship and Anchor, his engaging and authentic performances have brought audiences to their feet, dancing along with feel-good storyteller songs, only minutes after bringing them to tears with reflections on family, nostalgia, and love.
