Soul Diary – Emily Brontë’s poetry (online)

The poetry of Emily Brontë was written in secrecy. Nearly two-hundred years later, it still exerts a unique power over its readers. This talk will trace the history of its publication and its precious manuscripts, examining deeply a few of the key poems from Emily’s ‘soul diary’. Bio: Tamar Yellin is a multi-award-winning author whose Kafka in Brontëland was shortlisted for the Edge Hill Prize. Tamar is also a tour guide and speaker for the Brontë Parsonage Museum. This session is offered by the Bronte Museum and recordings of the event will be sent out after.
