Inspired by the teachings of B.K.S. Iyengar, this workshop explores how props - straps, blocks, bolsters, chairs and even a wall - can deepen your practice, enhance alignment and make yoga accessible to every body.
Whether you're looking to refine your poses, increase flexibility, or simply experience greater ease in your practice, props offer support, stability, and new ways to explore familiar postures.
While not an Iyengar-certified class, this workshop honours his ground-breaking use of props to cultivate strength, balance and mindfulness.
Suitable for all levels, from beginners to experienced practitioners, you'll leave with practical tools to adapt your practice both on and off the mat.

Some of the innovative uses of props that we will explore are:
• Shoulder Stand using a chair for support
• Balancing Half Moon using the wall
• Downward Facing Dog with a brick under the forehead
• A simple strap in a seated forward fold to keep the spine completely straight
• Boat Pose with a long strap to support the legs
• Shoulder stand using a belt
We will also explore partner work (pairing up with another student) to refine alignment)
