This intensive workshop is designed to bring together performers, artists, and creatives of all kinds. Whether you're an actor, dancer, singer, musician, or have a passion for set design, lighting, or sound, this workshop invites you to explore the power of collaboration and collective creation.
Throughout the 5 days, we’ll focus on building an ensemble—cultivating skills such as awareness, presence, listening, and group harmony. Through a series of movement-based warm-ups and exercises, we’ll work together to enhance our physical and mental readiness to then explore creative tasks, where participants contribute to co-create, using various methods and approaches to storytelling and expression.

About the facilitator:
Carol is a performing artist and theater maker from Egypt. Carol’s work merges between dancing, acting, text and improvisation. She graduated from the full time three years program at the Cairo Contemporary Dance Center in 2020 before completing a Master of Arts in Advanced Theatre Practice from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in 2024. Carol has been a member of Dawar PlayBack Troupe since 2017, a community theater using improvisation to re-enact stories shared by the audience. As a performer, she has participated in performances such as" Hoop om on ay" by Nicolas Cantillon (MAAT production) , "We are coming back after everybody" by Amina Abou El Ghar (MAAT production), "birds murmuration" by Stop Gap (Dcaf) . Carol has co-created her first piece "On this this day" with Ahmed Malek for the CCDC dance Platform. Her second piece, "What the hell am I doing here? " received a production grant from AFAC in August 2021 and premiered in Rawabet Art Space on June 8th 2022 before touring in Egypt, Kenya, Morocco and Bahrain. In London, she has co-created "Best Before" with Nikos Lekakis and Tina Bagia and is currently working on a new production.
