This amazing line up of First Nations artists as a part of our UnFringed Inferno micro festival!!
It's an honour and pleasure to have BLAK STORY SONG as a part of this event!!
BLAK STORY SONG is a concert series that promotes and engages intergenerational First Nations singer songwriters and our international indigenous allies.
Co-curated by Deline & Merindi Briscoe (Yalanji) and the artists present their songs in a stripped back intimate set that allows space for truth telling, deeper audience connection and inspired musical collaborations. Take a 1 hour journey with these songwriters, while they share their songwriting talent in all its raw honesty.
RAINFORESET BOOGIE brings heartfelt storytelling and deep Far North soul. Led by Cairns-based frontman Steven Simon (Harrigan) — raised in Kuranda and hailing from Cape York — their sound fuses rootsy reggae and earthy country into something uniquely local. Every song is rich with personal journey and the spirit of this region.
NAY NAY MULURIDJI BAND Naynay Muluridji Music is the heartbeat of Nathan Rodgers, a descendant of the Ewamain, Walkamin, Kuku Warra, and Kuku Yalanji peoples. Inspired by his family and heritage, Naynay’s self-taught mastery of guitar, didgeridoo, and traditional instruments bridges the gap between past and present.
