a work(play)shop for the Practice of Collective Joy, with Jeffrey Alphonsus Mooney. We will sing from the wild places within us. We will move our bodies like earth and sky, rooted and spontaneous. We will listen to the silent beginnings of our powerful stories and renew our vibrant bonds to ourselves, each other and the world we live and dream in. Bring percussion, writing pads, a pillow and your full shamanic selves.this is the art of ecstatic community.
Jeffrey Alphonsus Mooney is a teacher/performer/ritualist living in Oakland/Bay Area. He has worked with the Reclaiming collective for more than 30 years. He has explored the relation between music, performance art, shamanism and social justice movements.He has taught and performed in various parts of the U.S. and Canada, using rhythm, voice, writing and ritual to create a potential space for self transformation and to reconnect with our soul's wilderness.

No musical, percussion, or poetic background necessary, …..it’s all about magical ecstatic expression of the soul… Alphonsus is an amazing prophet, a word shaman …… some say the Rumi of the 21st century!!!!! The opportunity to work with Alphonsus on the east coast is a rare one, and a gem.
