After the incredible turnout for our February outing, we are heading back out on the water for a special Full Moon Sunset Dinner Cruise on March 3rd. This time, we’ve leveled up the experience by partnering with CaboRey for their premier high-end dinner service.
March is a magical window in Los Cabos. We are currently in peak "momma and baby" whale season. This is the time of year when the calves are breaching constantly, building the muscle and stamina they need for the massive journey back north. Watching a newborn humpback launch itself out of the water against a Pacific sunset is something that never gets old, no matter how long you've lived here.
The Experience
The evening begins as we slip out of the marina and head toward Médano Bay. You’ll have front-row seats to the iconic Land’s End rock formations and the Arch. While the boat follows the tip of the Baja, you can enjoy limitless cocktails from the open bar on the upper deck.
To set the mood, we’ll have a DJ on board. Once the sun dips below the horizon, we move into the climate-controlled dining room for a three-course plated meal and a professional Mexican and Argentinean floor show.

KT’s Insider Take
If you’ve been following our stories, you know I’m picky about boat tours. Many can feel a bit "touristy," but the CaboRey remains a standout for its stability and the quality of the kitchen.
My personal tip? Start on the third deck with a Margarita to catch the whale action—the height gives you a much better vantage point for spotting blows in the distance. When it comes to dinner, the Chateaubriand is the consistent winner, but if you want the full Cabo luxury experience, spring for the Lobster. There is nothing quite like a full sit down surf and turf while watching a traditional dance show in the middle of the bay.
We expect this one to fill up fast given the full moon and the whale activity.
