Black Ash Weaving Demonstration

April Ogimaakwe Stone, member of the Bad River Band of Lake Superior Chippewa, will be at the Cable Natural History Museum from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Please stop by and learn from April as she weaves, talks about resource materials, shares stories, and invites visitors to participate in form and free-form weaving of a variety of natural materials. She will also share how this traditional Anishinaabe craft is threated by the increase in Emerald Ash Borers in our forests. Donations welcome.
