"Hello there! Here there is some info about me and the relation with Mexican food.
My name is Osmar, people call me Oz, I’m from Mexico and I live in Poland since almost 9 years.
My passion for food started since very young ages, when I was 12. My mom and my dad have a restaurant in Mexico and I was always curious how is my mom making such delicious dishes, so I started helping her, I can say that I learnt from the best.
When I came to Poland I realized that in Poland but generally in Europe, people have a very wrong idea of what Mexican food is, sorry to tell you this but Chilli con carne, burritos with corn and beans from can, taco shells are not Mexican food, that food is called TexMex and is the America version of Mexican food.
So, my mission was to start showing to Polish people what is the real taste of Mexican food, of course it was challenging because here doesn’t exist many products that are originally from Mexico, such as green tomatoes, different kind of chilies and spices, but somehow we managed to find them.
In 2017 I was working at Maria Kolendra restaurant in Warsaw and we received many good compliments from the locals and from critics from the program ‘Master Chef’ to the level that we won the 2nd price of the best restaurant in Warsaw 2017.
This time is the turn to Bydgoszcz to try one of my especial recipes, Tacos al Pastor (marinated pork with mexican spices and pineapple served on a fresh corn tortilla companion by onion, coriander, lime and salsa of your preference) will make you have the real taste of Mexico City in your mouth."
