A Celebration of Wampanoag History, Culture, and Community!
Celebrate the history and culture of the Wampanoag People at the grounds of the historic Aptucxet Trading Post.
Join us for a day dedicated to honoring and learning from the Wampanoag People of Cape Cod. Experience powerful traditions that have been passed down for generations, and gain a deeper understanding of the first people of this land.
Special Welcome: The day begins at 11:00 AM with a blessing and remarks by Melissa Ferretti, Bourne Select Board Chair and Chairlady of the Herring Pond Wampanoag Tribe.
Featured Performance: At 2:00 PM the Wampanoag Nation Singers and Dancers will share traditional music, drumming and dance, offering an immersive experience of traditional Wampanoag culture.
Throughout the Day: Explore cultural displays and hands-on activities, enjoy food for purchase and take part in family friendly acitivies celebrating Wampanoag traditions.
Admission: $5 per person, $15 for a family
