You're Invited: Phoenix Building Brownfields Cleanup Public Meeting
Join us as we take the next step in revitalizing one of Uptown Butte’s historic treasures!
Headwaters RC&D invites the public to review and discuss the EPA Brownfields Cleanup Plan for the Phoenix Building, located at 68 W Park Street in the heart of Butte’s National Historic Landmark District.
 Why It Matters:
Due to asbestos and other environmental hazards, the upper floors of this iconic six-story building have been closed to the public for decades. With EPA funding, we’re working to safely abate contaminants and unlock the building’s full potential for affordable housing, arts, short-term accommodations, and more!
 Meeting Details:
 Monday, June 30, 2025
 4:00 PM
Thornton Building, 65 E Broadway, 2nd Floor Conference Room
Hybrid option available via Zoom (link to be provided)
Come learn about the plan, ask questions, and share your input!
For details, including the full Analysis of Brownfields Cleanup Alternatives (ABCA) and Community Involvement Plan, visit the Phoenix Building or Butte-Silver Bow Public Archives. Information will also be available at Headwaters RC&D at 65 E Broadway #518 In Uptown Butte.
