Sr. M. Caterina Esselen is a member of the Congregation of the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy to which Saint Faustina belonged. Sr. Caterina joined the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy in 1995 and made her perpetual profession of vows in 2003.

Sister has been proclaiming the message of "Divine Mercy" at conferences, retreats, in parishes, schools and prisons. Sr. Caterina has served as Vocation and Formation Directress as well as in leadership. She currently lives in the community's Washington, DC house, ministering at the Nation Shrine of John Paull II.
