Continuously developing and evolving practice of Contact Improvisation offers a challenging and transformative environment for the body that opens us to subtle intelligences — physical, intuitive, and relational — and invites us to expand beyond the limits of the social, structural, and functional body.

This residency program is an invitation for those interested in embodied experimentation in Contact Improvisation — rooted in profound inspirations from its form and formlessness, taking shapes through research-based processes interweaving foundational, philosophical, poetic, sensorial, and physical elements Into open investigation—inviting Questioning, contemplating, reflecting, witnessing and integrating.
이 레지던시는 컨택즉흥에서 몸을 통한 실험에 관심 있는 이들을 초대합니다.
컨택즉흥의 형식과 그 너머에서 비롯된 깊은 영감을 바탕으로,
기초적·철학적·시적·감각적·신체적 요소들을 연구 과정 속에서 엮어내며 열린 탐구로 확장해 갑니다.
참여자들은 질문하고, 사유하고, 성찰하며, 바라보고, 통합하는 여정을 함께합니다.
Creative process
탐구 과정
This space of inquiry invites—learning through making space for learning to take place in the body—with the curiosity to discover itself. Over these seven days together each session and creative exploration will be inspired by the principles, forces, and intelligence of nature. This is an invitation to connect with a profound sense of unity—within ourselves, between others, and the space that holds us. Investigating the body—contemplating it, improvising with it, listening to it—landscapes of inner intelligence are revealed. These inner landscapes hold valuable elements for growth and transformation.
We believe that a committed and dedicated environment for in-depth learning is mutually supported by the collective efforts.
이 탐구의 공간은 몸 안에서 배움이 일어날 수 있는 여백을 마련하고, 그 과정을 통해 배우는 길로 초대합니다. 이는 스스로를 발견하려는 호기심에서 비롯됩니다.
함께하는 7일 동안, 모든 세션과 탐구는 자연의 원리, 힘, 그리고 지혜에서 영감을 받습니다. 이는 우리 안에서, 서로 사이에서, 그리고 우리를 품고 있는 공간 속에서 깊은 하나됨의 감각과 연결되도록 하는 초대입니다.
몸을 탐구하는 과정 속에서—관찰하고, 즉흥하며, 귀 기울이는 동안—내적 지혜의 풍경이 드러납니다.

Dance movement as a practice of discovering oneself—feeling, connecting, celebrating, experimenting, and experiencing one’s inner and outer worlds.
Dancing for the joy it brings, the liberation it fills us with.
To feel the expansion and contraction.
Let’s not pursue it to prove or achieve something, or display oneself as a master of something—
but as a lifetime discoverer and experiencer.

What shapes this residency
레지던시를 이루는 것들
The residency carries the intention of fostering a dedicated space for the practice, sharing, learning, and research of Contact Improvisation (CI). It is a space for bodies curious to learn and deepen their ongoing inquiry in CI—a form that challenges conventional perspectives and invites us to ask questions about the human body, its relationship to what’s present, and its capabilities beyond physical form. Becoming a meeting point—an intersection of philosophies and life-affirming practices—it approaches the practice as a process-based learning, where experience itself is the heart of the journey.
이 레지던시는 컨택즉흥(CI)의 연습, 나눔, 배움, 연구를 위한 자리를 마련하는 것을 목표로 합니다.
이곳은 CI를 배우고, 그 탐구를 한층 더 깊게 이어가고자 하는 몸들이 모이는 자리입니다.
CI는 익숙한 관점을 넘어, 인간의 몸과 지금 여기의 관계, 그리고 물리적 형태를 넘어선 가능성에 대해 질문을 던지게 합니다.
본 레지던시는 철학과 삶의 실천이 교차하는 만남의 장이 되며, 경험 자체를 여정의 중심에 두는 과정 기반의 배움으로서 CI를 바라봅니다.
