The Orton and Spooner Story

Victorian entrepreneurs George Orton (1844-1924) and Charles Spooner (1871-1939) put Burton upon Trent on the map for their innovative work on wagons for show families; showfronts for travelling fairs; fairground rides and cinemas.

Come and find out more from local expert Elaine Pritchard, author of 'Labour of Love: The Orton and Spooner Story', which has so far raised more than £5,000 for Burton & District Mind.

Everyone is welcome. the talk is part of #StaffsHistFest. Admission is free but donations are welcome. Booking is essential and can be made by calling the library on 01283 881208, in person, or by emailing . The talk will run from 1.30pm to 2.30pm on Saturday 25th October.
