About the event

VE80 Celebrations 'Picnic on the Pitch'
Come and join us to celebrate the 80 year anniversary of Victory in Europe.
Bring a blanket and come and enjoy an afternoon in the sun.
Our BBQ will be fired up selling burgers and hotdogs.
Hot drinks and cakes will be available in the tea room.

The wooden soldiers that have adourned Whalley Road for the last few years at Armistace will have their last outing on the Pitch to celebrate the day, along with our new display of brave Read & Simonstone soldiers who returned from the wars.
