Join us for an exciting hands-on workshop and learn the art of making authentic miso with Vankoji Foods! This workshop offers a unique opportunity to experience the traditional process of fermenting soybeans and koji to create this essential Japanese staple.
Not only will you learn the techniques behind miso-making, but you’ll also take home your very own batch of miso. With a fermentation period of approximately six months, you can look forward to enjoying the delicious results of your efforts!
Miso is a traditional Japanese seasoning made by fermenting soybeans with salt and a specific mold called koji, made from rice, barley, or soybeans. The result is a thick, flavorful paste that is rich in umami. It is a versatile ingredient used in soups, marinades and dressings, offering a savoury depth to various dishes.
