Burnaby Lake Park - Nature House
4519 Piper Ave, Burnaby, Canada
October is EcoBlitz month across Metro Vancouver Regional Parks!
We have HUNDREDS of native plants to plant at our next large restoration site by the Nature House. We started planting them last weekend in this area, and we are thrilled to be restoring a healthy native ecosystem here! We will be planting trees, shrubs and ferns, including Western Red Cedar, Vine Maple, Salmonberry, Nootka Rose, Sword Fern, and many others. If time permits, we'll also begin spreading mulch as ground cover between all the new plants.
We are incredibly grateful to the Metro Vancouver Regional Parks Foundation for raising the funds to make this restoration project possible.
We will meet at the Nature House.
Tools and training will be provided.
This event will be limited to 20 volunteers.
