U of I Percussion Ensemble Free Concert

Join us for a unique, free performance by The University of Iowa's Percussion Ensemble at The Capitol Theater in Burlington on Thursday, May 22nd from 5-7pm! Known for its rich history and exceptional talent, Iowa Percussion is one of the oldest and most active percussion programs in the country, and they’ll bring their diverse and exciting musical styles—from contemporary and jazz to world music—right to our community.

Founded in 1958, Iowa Percussion has a long-standing reputation for excellence, having performed with some of the world’s top percussionists and composers. Over the years, the ensemble has premiered groundbreaking works and performed across the globe, including at two Percussive Arts Society International Conventions. Now, you can experience their amazing sound live right here in Burlington!
