Two-Day Multi-pitch Rescue Intensive

The ultimate multi-pitch climbing skills intensive to dial in efficient sytems, risk decision making, and rescue techniques!

Join us for this intensive Two Day Multipitch Rescue Course to learn and develop the skills you need to effectively escape a cliffside with an injured or incapacitated party member. Beyond just the basics, we'll introduce advanced tactics for solving complex multipitch rescue problems, then practice in the vertical realm with realistic multipitch rescue scenarios on real multipitch climbs. Taught at a 2:1 student-to-guide ratio, this course is designed to give participants a high degree of opportunity to work closely with their instructor. Signing up with a trusted climbing partner is greatly encouraged!

Skills covered include escaping multipitch belays (lead and top-down), rescuing an injured leader with more than half the rope out, counterbalance rappelling to an injured follower, rappelling multiple pitches with an unconscious climber who can't unweight the rope, hauling an injured or stuck climber, and more.

Climbers considering this course should have a solid foundation in multipitch climbing, with 15 or more multipitch routes under their belt. No trad climbing experience is necessary. This course is ideal for anyone who wants to increase their multi-pitch skillset, have the tools to address multi-pitch rescue situations, and feel more confident and competent in multi-pitch terrain.
