As our world continues to shift, change and collapse, so much is calling for our attention, compassion and action. It can be challenging to remember that to meet reality with care, we ourselves must be resourced. Through the lens of the Seven Homecomings meditation and restorative yoga, this workshop offers a pathway for you to call in, experience and be resourced by the grounded care available to you, at all times.
The Seven Homecomings practice was developed by Lama Rod Owens as a practice of taking refuge. Together we will explore each of the Seven Homecomings: guides, wisdom texts, communities, ancestors, Earth, silence and the self, and then drop into practice. You will be guided through a process of calling in, resting with and receiving care from each of the seven homecomings. We will hold restorative shapes to lean into the energies of the homecomings and allow the body to receive the support.
When we know that we are not alone and are supported, we expand our capacities to be present to ourselves, each other and reality. In asking sources of grounding and clarity to come toward us, we open the door to receive and experience limitless reserves of nourishment, protection and guidance.
Join Alex to expand into the possibilities of taking refuge, and drop back into the arms of your support system.
This workshop will be held in-person at the Chace Mill.
