The Pistol Marksmanship Course is great for beginners, first time and new handgun owners. The PMC is also for those shooters looking to improve in handgun marksmanship and to take their shooting to the next level. You will get a better understanding of shooting and the techniques that make you more accurate and safer gun handling. You will be provided with the skills to diagnose and fix the things that cause inaccuracy. Subjects covered, firearms safety, trigger control, recoil management, precision and defensive accuracy. Shooting fundamentals; grip, stance, sighting, etc. Conducted in the context of defensive shooting this class is a great introduction to the basic principles of defensive shooting. This course also works well for anyone looking to acquire an Iowa Permit to Carry Weapons. The emphasis of this course is safety and accuracy. Class is 4 hours in length.
Student provides safe firearm and ammunition. (Loaner handguns available, make arrangements prior)
Two magazines, two speed loaders for revolvers preferred.
150 rds. of ammunition.
Eye and Ear protection.
Course completion certificate issued upon completion.
