Join us on Sunday, September 21 at 2 PM for a special screening of PIEOWA: A PIECE OF AMERICA — a heartwarming documentary by producer/director Beth M. Howard who will be present at the event for a Q&A session served up with a side of pie courtesy of Perkins, The Collective Food Hub, and others.
Pie is more than dessert. It’s kindness, comfort, generosity, and unity — and Iowa is at the center of this delicious story. From church kitchens to diners, State Fair competitions to family tables, pie is woven into Iowa’s history and identity.
In PIEOWA, Beth takes us on a mouth-watering journey across her native state, meeting pie makers of all ages, celebrating the “pie-oneers” who brought it here, and showing how pie has the power to bring people together.
