Paw Pals Care Academy

Paw Pals Animal Academy is a FREE educational program for area youth interested in animal welfare. Any Burleson area student who is age 10-12 who either resides or attends school in the City of Burleson.

This special summer academy is designed to teach children about proper care for animals and many of the career opportunities in the animal field. This is a three-week program, with academy participants meeting for 90 minutes, 10-11:30 a.m., three Saturdays during June.

Week 1: June 7

Mobile Outreach Veterinary Effort will walk students through the steps of animals taken into rescue for medical care to find a new home.

Week 2: June 21

The Creature Teacher will provide the opportunity to interact with various animals.

Week 3: June 28

Wildlife on the Move will bring snakes, lizards, spiders and more for student interaction and behavior education.

• Limited to 20 participants. An application must be filled out and returned to Burleson Animal Services by May 20, 2025.
