May Hike of the Month

Sunday, 9 am, May 4, 2025 - Hillman State Park, meeting at 5-Points Ext Parking area. (location:40.454706, -80.417646) Directions:
From the West: Take US-22E to PA-18N. At Florence, traffic light (.5-miles), turn right on Old Steubenville Pike for 1.5 miles, then turn left on Haul Road for 1.2 miles- turn left onto a dirt road. In .4-miles you will arrive at 5-Points Ext Parking Lot.
From East: take US-22 to the Bavington exit, turn right, and then left onto Old Steubenville Pike for 3.4 miles, turning right at Haul Road for 1.2 miles, turning left onto a dirt road. In .4-miles you will arrive at 5-Points Ext Parking Lot.
From Raccoon Creek State Park Office: take PA-18 south for 5.5 miles, turning left at Florence traffic light onto Old Steubenville Pike for 1.5 miles, then turn left on Haul Road for 1.2 miles, turning left onto a dirt road. In .4-miles you will arrive at 5-Points Ext Parking Lot.
We will be hiking 5-6 miles in the meadows and along several ponds in the park, for 3 hours. The grassy areas will make you pick up your feet, with uneven ground. This hike gives you a different look than most of our wooded hikes.-- Wetland - Old Mare - Meadow Trails. Dog friendly, please keep your pet under control. Thanks. Moderate hiking.
