This endurance camp is a jam packed long weekend full of riding and learning. You will spend hours in seminars and in the saddle every day going through both technical and athletic bootcamp to the level of you and your horse's fitness as well as knowledge seminars in order to prepare you for distance sports.
This camp is a perfect intro to understanding the logistics, training, and ways to succeed in distance sports with your horse.
We have helped dozens of riders in the past enter the sport of endurance. Whether they were novice riders looking to do their first introductory ride, seasoned riders trying a new sport or those riders we mentor to compete in the Mongol Derby, our goal is to help riders better understand the sport and feel like they too can join the adventure.
All riders should be able to canter and control their horses while riding on open trails, in groups and solo or in pairs. Teens and adults are welcome.
Pre-Teens are welcome by accompaniment, invite or approval only.
------------
We made a CREW CAMP
Crew Camp is for non-riding participants to learn all of the veterinary skills needed for vet checkpoints, how to support and care for the horse at the holds, and how to support a rider who may be exhausted. Learning the logistics of the ride is key to a team’s success!

$250 ($83 a day) including meals and full days of instruction and immersion in the distance sport.
Camping is welcome for crew campers, but not required.

Overnighting:
To replicate the atmosphere of an Endurance or Competitive Trail Ride we will be camping.
Participants are expected to camp in the field with their horses with either tents or live in trailers (no hook ups available).
All of the horses will camp in temporary fence pens WITHIN one of our pastures.
This is the perfect opportunity to camp with your horse for the first time. We are camping within a pasture in order to ensure safety. If a horse gets loose, they will still be within the fences. We also have stalls available for any horse that is struggling to camp.
------------------
USE OF PAINTED BAR STABLES HORSES: while we have barn owned horses available for this priority is given to our regularly riding students.
We provide the temporary fencing supplies for anyone using our horses.
BYO Horse: We STRONGLY encourage people to bring their own horses. The ENTIRE POINT of this camp is to help horse and rider teams better understand their strengths and weaknesses and develop a plan to work towards a goal. Our goal is for you to leave with a workout plan and skills for both you and your horse. If you are worried about your horse's fitness, we can give you some information on what you need to do to make sure your horse is fit enough to attend camp.
Anyone coming from a distance, we can make stalls available for board on Thursday night so that you can arrive the day before to settle in. Then we will set up camp on Friday for the weekend.
People bringing their own horses will be expected to use their own fencing supplies (temporary fence posts, electric rope or tape, and/or fencing panels), however we do have an electric source available. We will provide everyone a list of what they need for a camping starter set.
