The Carolwood Foundation will be open to the public on Sunday, October 19 from 11am to 3pm. Joining us will be Stan Freese, retired Disneyland Resort Casting and Booking Director. Stan started his 45 year Disney career in Florida as the first director of the Magic Kingdom Band. He went on to play roles in Anaheim, Tokyo and Disney theme parks around the world. He will be bringing along his book, "Music, Mayhem, and the Mouse: My 'Tubazar' Life." Copies will be available for purchase through our gift shop, with signing by the author himself.
During your visit you are invited to tour Walt Disney's Carolwood Barn, Walt’s original home workshop and the birthplace of Imagineering. Displays include treasures from the backyard railroads of Walt Disney, Ward Kimball and Ollie Johnston, as well as an operating model of Disneyland's classic Mine Train Through Nature's Wonderland attraction.
Also on the property are the restored Santa Fe and Disneyland Railroad combine car and Ollie Johnston's backyard La Canada Valley Railroad depot.
The Carolwood Foundation is open to the public the third Sunday of each month from 11am to 3pm. Reservations and tickets are not required to visit Walt's Barn and associated displays. Parking is free and available on a first come, first served basis.
