20 Years Later - Remembering Hurricane Katrina

Please join us on Friday, August 29, 2025, at 9:00 AM as we mark the 20th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina — honoring the lives lost, the resilience of our communities, and the recovery efforts that began right here.

Location: Fort Jackson Museum & Welcome Center Buras-Triumph, Louisiana (Located ½ mile north of historic Fort Jackson on LA Hwy 23).

Ceremony & Reception inside the museum featuring a special Katrina Photo Exhibition.

This meaningful morning will reflect on where we’ve been and
recommit to the strength that defines Plaquemines Parish. Let’s Stand Together 20 years later to remember, honor, and move forward.
