Women's Health Forum - Be Your Own Best Health Advocate

To celebrate Women’s Health Week, Don Punch, Member for Bunbury, will be hosting a free Women’s Health Forum on Friday 5 September with the theme; How to be your own best health advocate.

The Forum will canvas all women’s health issues, not just those that apply solely to women and are reproductive in nature. A panel of local professionals with extensive experience delivering health services to women will be convened to discuss the most common barriers to women accessing the health care and how women can be empowered to be self-advocates to receive the services and supports they need.

The intention is to bring together professionals from the fields of general practice, midwifery, psychology and women’s well-being to lead a community conversation about the most common issues experienced by women when accessing health and to answer questions for the audience about their lived experience.
