The Community Baby Shower was launched in the Fall of 2023 by the Bullhead City Moms Group, a division of the non-profit organization Make Bullhead Better. Recognizing a significant need within the community, they aimed to support expecting mothers who lacked the resources necessary to prepare for their new arrivals. The initiative involved collecting essential items such as baby clothes, diapers, baby furniture, and strollers. Each baby shower has consistently attracted around 50 mothers, all of whom do not have the opportunity to host a baby shower for themselves. So that each mother gets items that help her get started on her journey.
Why do we need this in our Community?
Expectant mothers facing economic hardships often feel isolated, lacking the support and resources necessary to provide their newborns with the best possible start. These baby showers offer a valuable opportunity for mothers to connect with one another, fostering relationships that can lead to lasting friendships for both them and their children as they grow up together in the community. Motherhood can be a lonely journey, making it crucial to cultivate connections from the very beginning.
