Buffalo’s #1 morning show, 97 Rock’s Shredd & Ragan, is paying tribute to Canada’s #1 band!
The Great American Rush Off is a tribute project to one of the greatest rock bands of all time and a chance to give back by raising money for The Neil Peart Memorial at Lakeside Park in Port Dalhousie, St. Catharine’s, Neil’s hometown.
A creative team concept is in place to erect two larger-than-life-sized bronze sculptures of Neil Peart. It will be connected by a pathway offering experiential and interpretive features highlighting Peart’s personal and professional legacies, including his time with Rush.
In efforts to make an even bigger impact, we are holding a battle of the bands on Saturday, September 6 at Sportsmen’s Tavern with headlining act from Analog Kids. There will also be acts from Deb & The Knight Crew, Wilcox Mansion, Stavos and Sue Kincaide with Grace Loughran playing original and Rush cover songs.
Tickets start at $21.12(+online fees) and VIP tickets are $50(+online fees). VIP gets you your first drink free and special seating near the main stage for Analog Kids.
Gates open at 3pm
Showtime: 4pm-9pm
Shredd & Ragan are seeking bands both local and national to submit Rush cover songs. The tracks will be part of a compilation curated by Shredd & Ragan with proceeds benefitting the Neil Peart Memorial.
