Tasting Class: Mezcal & Maizal, a trip to Oaxaca, Mexico

Take a virtual visit to Oaxaca, Mexico and discover the flavors of authentic Mexican cuisine and taste America’s earliest distillate, Mezcal. Curtis Eaton from Vintus NY and Sebastian Farrow of Maizal Mezican Kitchen will present a tasting of three Mezcals, the original spirit of Mexico and precursor to Tequila, each made from a unique variety of agave, and accompanied with Oaxacan food pairings prepared for the occasion.

Mezcal is the earliest product known to be distilled in the new world, and remains perhaps the most authentic and artisanal spirit produced to this day. Its distinctive fruit, herb and smoky roasted agave flavors have no match in the spirit world. We thank our friends at Maizal for their participation, and look forward to future partnerships!

Space is limited, so don't wait to register.

Registration costs $10, but all attendees will receive a $10 voucher to use at the store on one of the items they tasted on the day of the event. Light snacks will also be served, and attendees will receive some tasting notes on the items they're sampling.

Note: All attendees must be 21 years or older and have appropriate documentation (ie, driver's license or passport) to verify their age.
