Join us this summer for our very first teen decorating camp! This camp is geared towards kids ages 13 – 17 years old that love to bake and decorate. This is a 4-day camp with classes happening. . .

Thursday, July 31st 10am – 2pm
*Each day bring a drink and lunch. Wear sneakers and clothes you don’t mind getting messy in!
The focus of this camp is to teach creative techniques, fundamentals, and confidence-building in dessert decorating.
Day 1: Introduction to Decorating & Buttercream Frosting
Welcome & Icebreaker activity
Intro to buttercream piping tools & techniques (bags, tips, couplers)
Practice piping skills: borders, rosettes, stars, florals
Learn 3 classic buttercream designs
Use New Techniques and Skills to decorate with buttercream (and fondant) on cupcakes or a mini chocolate chip cookie cake
Day 2: Cookie Decorating Day
Intro to Royal Icing (consistencies & coloring)
Flooding and piping practice, in a variety of themed designs to choose from (summer, food, sports, etc)
Practice using stiffer consistencies for finer details, learn how to make transfers
Create freestyle cookie
Day 3: Mini Cakes, Color Techniques, and Mini Cake Pop Tutorial
Stack & Crumb Coat Mini Cakes
Intro to Color Theory & Palette Creation
Buttercream Techniques: Ombre, spatula painting, watercolor, and textured piping
Learn how to mold, dip and decorate mini cake pops for details on your cake
Students decorate their own 2-layer mini cake
Plan your final project to be presented on Day 4!
Day 4: Showstopper project & graduation
Finalize details of your showcase dessert
Create a signature dessert: Cupcakes, cookies, mini cake, cake pops
Showcase Time: Display & celebration, parents invited at end for
