From the author of the beloved ANNE OF GREEN GABLES, Emily Byrd Starr is sent to live with her late mother’s strict relatives, the Murrays, after her father’s death. Emily struggles to find love and identity under the watchful eye of stern Aunt Elizabeth, who does not want Emily to become the famous writer she promised her father she’d be.
