A talk by Adam Skerrett (Mythwalker)
Once upon a time, a wandering storyteller set out to encounter the spirit-of-the-land.
He journeyed by foot and made his bed upon the earth, for the only way to truly know a place is by walking through it; so he leant as close to the land as he could.
And he wrote what he felt, in his feet,
as he walked
the storied-path of quartz and granite.
The talk will explore the terrain where myth meets ecology, and the ways in which our ancient stories and folklore still figure in the landscape.
Adam is a writer, poet, and wandering storyteller with an MA in Myth and Ecology. He leads guided myth-walks across Cornwall, and is currently working on his debut book Mythwalker.
"Adam is exploring the terrain where myth and landscape collide. You may find him in the folds of a fairy tale or on the darkening path to the Grey Wethers stones."
- Martin Shaw, writer, and mythologist.
