Sir Antonio Pappano és a Londoni Szimfonikus Zenekar

A világklasszis Londoni Szimfonikus Zenekar mindig a legnagyobb karmesterekkel érkezik a Müpába – és rendre lenyűgözi a közönséget. Jelenlegi vezetője, az olasz felmenőktől származó brit Sir Antonio Pappano védjegye a sokoldalúsággal párosuló maximalizmus: valamennyi műfajban és stílusban csúcsteljesítményt nyújt. Seong-Jin Cho párizsi tanulmányok után 2015-ben huszonegy évesen nyerte meg a Varsói Nemzetközi Chopin Versenyt. Előbb a dél-koreai virtuóz lemezeit csodáltuk, majd a 2023-as Bartók Tavaszon személyesen is bizonyította érzékenységét és tudását. A koncert Sosztakovics (IX. szimfónia), Prokofjev (II. zongoraverseny) és Beethoven (V. szimfónia) műveiből összeállított programja könnyedséget, komolyságot és bravúrt egyaránt ígér.

The world-class London Symphony Orchestra always comes to Müpa Budapest accompanied by one of the great conductors – and it never fails to dazzle the audience. Its current leader, Sir Antonio Pappano, is a Brit of Italian descent best known for combining eclecticism with perfectionism: he delivers the highest quality in every genre and style he touches. After completing his studies in Paris, Seong-Jin Cho won the International Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw in 2015, at the age of just 21. Although we were initially able only to marvel at the South Korean virtuoso’s records, he was able to personally demonstrate his sensitivity and talent at the Bartók Spring Festival in 2023. The programme of works by Shostakovich, (Symphony No. 9), Prokofiev (Piano Concerto No. 2) and Beethoven (Symphony No. 5) promises tenderness, sincerity and excellence.
