A TWIN NOIR egy 2021-ben Berlinben alapított post-punk/Wave/EBM duó, amelyet Cody Barcelona (ének, elektronika, gitár) és Ian Volt (ének, basszusgitár) alkot. Zenéjük az elektronikusan monoton hangzások, az expanzív atmoszférák és a dallamos pillanatok között ingadozik, minimalista német nyelvű szövegekkel kombinálva.
A TWIN NOIR hangzását egy analóg magnó, egy sampler, gitárok és egy theremin formálja, amelyeken keresztül a duó a punk és a wave zene saját keverékét hozza létre. Technoid ütemek, hajtó basszusvonalak és a szintetizátorok és gitárok által felváltva játszott atmoszférák olyan pillanatokat teremtenek, amelyek táncra, lebegésre és sodródásra hívnak. A két művész hatásai a KRAFTWERK és a DAF zenekaroktól az EBM és Techno szcénáig, valamint a 70-es és 90-es évekbeli punk és rockzenétől a 90-es évekig terjednek.

A bőr alá kúszó szintetizátor dallamok viszketése önkéntelen vonaglásba taszítja testedet, szüntelen vakaródzásod mit sem segít ezen. Tűhegyes gitárok szúrnak a bordáid közé, miközben mesterséges ütemek zaja sajtolja ki szerveidből hitvány bűneid levét. A VÉNA számait hallgatva zavarba ejtő gondolatok petéznek a velők labirintusába, amik csak mélyen a tükörbe nézve kelnek ki. Tetszhalott állapota után újra pellengéren láthatjátok a hosszú önelemzések következtében anyagiasult emberi ösztönök legaljasabb alakját.

TWIN NOIR is a Post-Punk/Wave/EBM artist duo founded in Berlin in 2021, consisting of Cody Barcelona (voice, electronics, guitar) and Ian Volt (voice, bass). Their music oscillates between electronically monotonic sounds, expansive atmospheres, and melodic moments, combined with minimalist lyrics in German.
The sound of TWIN NOIR is shaped by an analog tape machine, a sampler, guitars and a theremin, through which the duo creates their own blend of Punk and Wave music. Technoid beats, driving basslines, and atmospheres played alternately by synthesizers and guitars create moments that invite dancing, floating and drifting. The influences of both artists range from bands like KRAFTWERK and DAF to the EBM and Techno scenes, as well as Punk and Rock from the 70s to 90s.

The itch of synth melodies creeping under your skin drives your body into involuntary writhing, and your constant scratching offers no relief. Needle-sharp guitars stab between your ribs as the noise of artificial beats squeezes the vile juice of your sins from your organs. While listening to VÉNA’s tracks, unsettling thoughts lay eggs in the labyrinth of your marrow, hatching only when you dare to stare deep into the mirror. After a state of apparent death, you can once again witness the vilest form of human instinct materialized through long periods of self-examination.
