A legsötétebb, deviáns rock'n'roll ethosz és jellegzetes melodikus torzítások mentén megalkotott New Candys az utóbbi évek egyik legizgalmasabb olasz zenekaraként vált ismertté. A zenekart a dalszerző-énekes-gitáros Fernando Nuti alapította a basszusgitáros és szintetizátoron játszó Dario Lucchesivel. A felállást Emanuele Zanardo szólógitáros és vokalista, valamint Francesco Giacomin dobos és sampler játékos teszi teljessé.
A kultikus Fuzz Club kiadóhoz szerződött zenekart nyers művészi megközelítése és sokoldalúsága miatt ismerik: agresszív, nyers hangzásaikat álomszerű, befelé forduló tónusokkal ötvözik. Zenéjükben gyakran visszaköszön szülővárosuk, Velence szimbolikája is, amelyet szürreális és olykor rejtélyes témákon keresztül dolgoznak fel.
A New Candys koncertjei legendás hírnévnek örvendenek – elkötelezett rajongótáboruk a kiterjedt európai, észak-amerikai és ausztrál turnék során épült ki. Felléptek többek között az SXSW, Treefort Music Fest, Psycho Las Vegas, Levitation France, Fuzz Club Eindhoven és Liverpool Psych Fest fesztiválokon, valamint headlinerként a Sydney és Melbourne Psych Fest rendezvényein. Concocted with the darkest deviant rock'n'roll ethos and distinctive melodic distortions, New Candys have established themselves as one of the most compelling bands to emerge from Italy in recent years. Founded by songwriter and singer-guitarist Fernando Nuti alongside bassist and synth player Dario Lucchesi, the lineup is completed by Emanuele Zanardo on lead guitar and backing vocals and Francesco Giacomin on drums and sampler.
Signed to the cult record label Fuzz Club, the band is recognized for its unfiltered artistic approach and versatility, seamlessly blending aggressive, gritty sounds with dreamy, introspective tones. The symbolism of their hometown, Venezia, often permeates their music, which explores surreal and sometimes cryptic themes.
