The "Writing Without a Map" workshop invites participants into the world of creative improvisation — where words flowed freely, and stories took shape in unexpected ways. Using techniques from freewriting, role-based storytelling, and emotional prompts, the session encourages participants to explore their inner narratives and give voice to thoughts and feelings often left unspoken.
With no pressure for perfection, the focus will be on creativity, self-expression, and emotional release through language.
This workshop is organised as part of the Art Well project, co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union, aiming to support youth mental health through artistic self-expression and inclusive local activities.
Each participant contributes to a collection of short stories and reflective texts, resulting in a small anthology of original writings. Topics range from personal memories and dreams to imagined scenes and internal dialogues.
This workshop was designed based on insights from the local Focus Group Meetings held earlier in the project, where young people emphasized the importance of self-reflection and emotional processing through writing — especially in a safe, supportive environment. Creative writing was identified as a method that supports both mental well-being and imagination.
Who can participate? The workshop is open to young people aged 16–30, regardless of writing experience. Whether fluent wordsmiths or first-time storytellers, all participants can find space to write freely and explore their creative voice.
Registration: Attending the English language workshop is free of charge, however registration is mandatory. Secure your spot now and fill out this registration form until 10 September:
