Join me for a 3 hour Botanical Block Printing Workshop at the beautiful Buckingham Flower Farm.

Learn about pattern and printing with hand carved wooden relief blocks and print your own set of 4 100% linen napkins or 100% linen frilled cushion cover.

Join Clodagh and learn all about printing pattern onto textiles with wooden relief blocks.

The process of block printing is calming and meditative, and at the same time there is something really satisfying and exciting about gradually seeing a pattern grow on your cloth.

We will use hand-carved wooden blocks from India to explore pattern repeats. We will explore the different techniques and look at layering your blocks, You will learn how to get the inking and the pressure just right and then combine your own choice of colour and motifs to create your own unique pattern design.

You will first print your design onto paper and then you will have the choice between printing onto napkins or a cushion cover.

Clodagh is a block printer and the founder of CG Blockprinting. Inspired by seasonal flowers and the natural landscape, she creates hand printed textiles using traditional wooden printing blocks and rich pigments. Her work celebrates slow craft, thoughtful colour and the beauty of handmade piece for the home.

All materials and tools are included in the workshop. We ask that you bring an apron and wear old clothes. There is free parking on site and refreshments will be served on arrival. Refresment and cake will also be served half way through the workshop.
