The WV Peer Support Group (WV PSG) and the Buckhannon Fire Department will present the “PTSD911 Documentary and Panel Discussion” on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at West Virginia Wesleyan College’s Virginia Thomas Law Center for the Performing Arts, 52–62 College Ave., Buckhannon. The event begins at 6 p.m. and is free to attend.
The program is hosted by West Virginia Wesleyan College and sponsored by Community Care of West Virginia. EMS and law enforcement CEUs are offered.
“PTSD911” takes viewers beyond the uniform to hear the lived experiences of a firefighter, police officer and 9-1-1 dispatcher as they navigate trauma, mental wellness and recovery. Following the screening, director Conrad Weaver will join an audience Q&A and panel discussion, with opportunities to meet members of the WV Peer Support Group.
Light snacks and refreshments will be provided by Community Care of West Virginia. Free onsite child care will be available and provided by WVWC students.
The event is open to a broad audience, including fire department and emergency medical personnel, dispatchers, law enforcement officers, clinical personnel, community partners, municipal and county leaders, community leaders and community members.
