The Mo Chits represent a unique convergence of musical worlds. Founded in India by Detroit-born Kirk McDavitt, the band combines his punk rock foundation with the classical training and avant-garde sensibilities of Romanian violinist Irina. This international musical DNA, supported by a solid rhythm
section, creates a sound that transcends traditional genre boundaries.
On September 6, they will be showcasing their upcoming album, "Ticket to Elsewhere" (out August 29th), one that tackles themes of religion, nature, and the search for purpose with vivid narratives and earnest intensity.
Blending the grit of The White Stripes, the inventiveness of St. Vincent, and the theatricality of The Flaming Lips, "Ticket to Elsewhere" delivers soaring choruses, driving rhythms, and lyrics that cut deep. From the anthemic charge of Land Ho! to the brooding reflection of Delhi Skies, the album channels both defiance and vulnerability.
