The Improv Mill is bringing two back-to-back nights of Halloween themed improvised comedy to the Tin Shop Theatre, 108 East Roe St, Buchanan, MI, on Friday, October 24th and Saturday, October 25th. Two shows each night with 7:30 and 9:30 start times.
Friday, October 24th 7:30PM - Friday’s Halloween Torture Show subjects the improvisers to a different kind of torture as they participate in Improv Sabotage, where scenic hurtles are thrown down to challenge and trip up even the most skilled players. Which of our three teams will come out on top? Will it be in spite of or because of the sabotages? Come find out at 7:30. Show runs approximately 90 minutes. Saturday, October 25th 7:30PM - On Saturday’s Halloween Torture Show improvisers will be subjected to all sorts of tortures as they attempt to perform coherent scenes. Will they be able to keep their balloons afloat? How many vinegar-soaked marshmallows will they have to cram into their mouths? Will they make it across the mousetrap-laden stage in their bare feet unscathed? Come and find out on Saturday, October 25th! Show runs approximately 90 minutes. Friday and Saturday, October 24th & 25th 9:30PM - Stick around after the madcap torture show for some seasonally themed long form improv, featuring local groups Small Victories from Southwest Michigan and I.S.T.G of South Bend.
To close out the night Improv D&D showcases a fully improvised tale of the classic tabletop role-playing game Dungeons and Dragons where fantasy meets comedy and magic and mishaps play out before your very eyes. It’s perfect programming for the nerds and geeks among us. Each night is different so prepare your spells and book in advance. Show runs approximately 75 Minutes. Unrated, may contain adult content and themes.
Admission is $15 per show and those who come to the 7:30 show will have the opportunity to stay for the 9:30 for only $5, space permitting.
