Introduction to Leatherworking

Please join Master Hamish at the Procrastinators’ Paradise event for an introductory class on leather working. PLEASE NOTE: this class is limited to the first 10 participants who email MOAS (bW9hcyB8IGR1bmNhcnJhaWcgISBhdGxhbnRpYSAhIHNjYSAhIG9yZw==), and a separate class fee of $20 will be paid to the instructor to cover the cost of course materials.

Attendees will learn basic ground level assembly of a fire starter pouch from pre-cut, pre punched parts. Fire starter tools (modern equivalent of medieval versions) will be included as part of the course materials. Instruction will also include plenty of time for Q&A discussion on period leather preparation, use and care. Due to the introductory nature of this class, we will NOT be covering hands-on leather cutting or dyeing procedures. We are keeping the end time open to allow plenty of time for participation & project completion.
