Intergenerational Dialogue on Plastic Pollution

This event is organised in the framework of the World Environmental Day 2025 campaign, focused on the global call to end plastic pollution. The dialogue will bring together different generations to explore the past, present, and future of plastics, and to generate actionable solutions to plastic pollution.

This event offers a unique opportunity to engage with representatives, policymakers, and stakeholders across generations to discuss the impacts of plastic pollution and inspire collective action to mitigate this global issue. Key themes and questions will relate to the history and evolution of plastic use; impacts of plastic pollution; actions to address plastic pollution: recycling and waste management; alternatives and solutions.

The debate will foster exchange of lessons learnt over several decades.
