B-Z double bill at CINEMATEK: The Strange Vices of Jess Franco

This month’s B-Z holds two visually arresting milestones in the erotic oeuvre of highly prolific Spanish director Jess Franco who exhibits his strange vices through VAMPYROS LESBOS that mixes vampirism and erotism onto a psychedelic soundtrack that’s even more cult then the film itself as well as DE SADE 70 (AKA EUGENIE… THE STORY OF HER JOURNEY INTO PERVERSION) in its more explicit French version where Italian composer Bruno Nicolai underscores the story of a young virgin that gets entangled in a web of libertine and sadistic sexual experiments.
