YIYUN GU, JOSHUA DEMA & DONG MA

On Friday 1 August at 8:00 PM, pianist Yiyun Gu, cellist Joshua Dema, and erhu virtuoso Dong Ma come together for an evening that bridges Eastern and Western sound worlds.

The program features works that span centuries and cultures — including the grandeur and lyricism of Rachmaninoff’s Sonata for Cello and Piano; Mendelssohn’s Variations Concertantes; and "Reflections", a new work for erhu and cello, offering a fresh perspective on cross-cultural musical dialogue.

Dong Ma recently toured China, giving concerts and lectures at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing and the affiliated secondary school.
