Visible Voices - upcycling workshop with Penne's Pants

A fun and low pressure upcycling workshop where you'll use textile waste and easy hand sewing techniques to make something that allows your voice to be visible. No sewing experience needed! There’ll be heaps of different funky discarded textiles, snacks, a hand sewing zine, and a needle and thread to take home. Bring something you'd like to upcycle, or make a patch to sew onto something later or hang on your wall as art, all creations are welcome, with full creative freedom. All the money from tickets are being pooled into a mutual aid fund as part of this project, and the workshop will run alongside the Love Magic exhibition and my interactive art installation and project, Toilet Talks.

Unassigned Gallery is partially wheelchair accessible. Entry via front door is a single door (78cm wide) with ramp access.

Seating is all on one level, on non static chairs which can be shifted around as needed.

We have one bathroom which is not wheelchair accessible - the nearest wheelchair accessible public bathroom is located at Juanita Peaches, 12 Edward Street Brunswick, open 11am-9pm.

Masks and hand sanitiser always available.
