The Jawa Pitu Band play Bar Ousou

The Jawa Pitu Band play dangdut — music originating in 1970s Indonesia. It's a heady mix of Hindustani, Malay, Arabic and Western music. We play our own version of dangdut with additional inspiration from western jazz/groove, Indonesian gamelan, along with African and Cuban percussion.

Returning to Bar Oussou for the first time this year, The Jawa Pitu Band look forward to bringing the melodic vocals of traditional Javanese music to through the funk from Jakarta dance floors to Brunswick. We'll be playing 2 sets from 10pm.
