Dean Kalait Quartet at the Brunswick Green

Dean Kalaitzidis is an emerging Melbourne/Naarm saxophonist and composer who takes inspiration directly from the greats of contemporary Australian Jazz, coming from the sounds and compositional styles of such greats as Julien Wilson, Bernie McGann, Andrea Keller, Barney McAll, and Allan Browne, amongst others. A graduate of the Melbourne Conservatorium, last year he released a highly ambitious and well-received double LP album, Slatland, featuring an octet (which including violin and cello).

The Dean Kalait group is:
Daniel Waddingham - Guitar
Isaac Gunnoo - Double Bass
Kyrie Anderson - Drums

With a focus on collaborative and explorative cinematic improvisation, the Dean Kalait Group has been hard at work generating material for a new album. Come to the brunswick green for a sneak peak before they head into the studio to lock it all in.

Entry is by donation and is a pay what you can deal.
