Trip to Bruneau Duck Ponds

Space is limited. To affirm a place at this event, registration is required. Please make sure ALL fields are filled out in the registration form and a confirmation email is received.

Come join Golden Eagle Audubon on a caravanning day trip as we bird the Bruneau Duck Ponds and other hotspots in the Owyhee/Elmore area. Bruneau Duck ponds can be a great shorebird spot, depending on the water level. We will also explore other hot spots in the area depending on reports of good birding. Please note, this trip will consist of walking over some round (though level) terrain.

Birding Skill Level: This trip is best suited for participants with some previous birding experience. Binoculars will be available if needed.

Age: Participants must be 16 or older to join and those younger than 18 must have a parent/guardian sign the liability release.

Time: 6:30am - 3:30pm. Please arrive 10 - 15 minutes early so we can start on time.

2286 E Gowen Road, Boise, ID 83716. (The Columbia Marketplace at Federal Way and Highway 21). We gather at the South end of the parking lot near the liquor store. (Click on "Meeting Place" to get directions from your location.)

This trip will be limited to 5 cars. Must be willing to carpool.

What to Bring: Please bring closed toe shoes, binoculars, a scope if you have one, water, lunch, snacks and a full tank of gas. No dogs please.

Restroom Availability: Restrooms will be available at various stops throughout the day.

Special Conditions: Anyone who drives should have a full tank of gas. A State Park pass would be a plus in case we decide to go into Bruneau Dunes.
